Did you know Vitabiotics’ Wellman brand had its on men’s grooming range? No, I didn’t either. But I’m glad we know now.

The range is small with only four products – a face wash, scrub, eye serum and moisturiser – but this quartet offers everything you need to keep your skin in tip-top condition.

The entire range is dermatologically tested against men’s skincare concerns and offers a bucket load of actives to fight nasty free radical damage.

Step one: The Wellman Face Wash

The facial wash targets surface impurities and tired looking skin with an arsenal of Aloe Vera, Vitamin B3 and Arginine that have skin-cooling properties, protective and moisture balance properties respectively.  This wash is great for all skin types and it’s 1% salicylic acid acts as an antibacterial exfoliant. Those who have read my article on the benefits of salicylic acid will know I am a huge fan of this ingredient! The wash leaves your skin visibly refreshed and energised.

Step two: The Wellman Facial Scrub

Up next is the facial scrub; this is one of my favourites from the range. With a line up that includes Aloe Vera, Menthol, Vitamin B3 and C, Arginine and Zinc PCA, this wash invigorates the skin with a gentle exfoliation leaving your skin looking vibrant, encouraging renewal of skin cells. I use this before shaving as part of my cleansing routine – it cleans the skin and softens and lifts the hair. Salicylic acid is again present and the formula is based on Advanced Research in Male Skincare (ARMS) to revive dull skin and unblock pores.

Step three: The Wellman Under-eye Serum

The under-eye serum is the other key player in the range. Nourishing and hydrating, its anti-fatigue ARMS formula helps reduce puffiness, dark circles and fine lines with caffeine and horse chestnut extract. I carry this with me everywhere. I use it in the morning and at the end of the working day if I am off out. Its cooling tri-roller ball applicator is quick and easy to use and doesn’t make a mess.  The formula also includes cucumber for its restorative and hydrating properties.

Step four: The Wellman Anti-ageing Moisturiser

The final stag of the Wellman skincare routine is the anti-ageing moisturiser. This little powerhouse boasts 12-hour moisturising and SPF15 protection to fight lines, wrinkles and dull/lifeless skin. The trio of Aloe Vera, Vitamin A, B3 and Arginine are included as the foundation of the formula with the added army of Vitamin C and E, Betaine and Zinc PCA offering more antioxidant protections, supple skin promotion and protection against excessive oil and sebum. The pump applicator releases a lot of product per go, maybe even a little too much, but this is meant to cover our neck too, so do so.

I’ve saved one of the greatest points about the range until last, and that is that the Wellman range is unbelievable great value.  The range costs between £9-17, which is just unbeatable for this quality of product and result.

I can’t recommend this range enough – for those who don’t want to spend a fortune but want to look after themselves, or for those who have some pricey products, but want some everyday backups. This is the range for you. When I am not using my intense, targeted skin treatments, this is my daily routine.

You can find Wellman’s grooming range online at vitabiotics.com as well as any local Boots. Though beware - Boots seem to charge considerably more for each product for no reason - the moisturiser is £24.95 instead of £16.95 so head to the Vitabiotics website!
