The meaning of meditation

In part three of my Art of Chill series with Gillette, I’m getting mindful with meditation and looking at how it can help you reduce the irritations life throws your way.

I won’t lie, I always thought of meditation as a little left field. I thought it was for the spiritual, the hipsters and the like. But after a rather stress period in my life, I was encouraged by a friend who works as a life coach to try it out.  It’s been a interesting journey, but I have to say I’m converted. Whenever I find that life is getting too hectic, I now turn to meditation to help me focus my energies properly.

The biggest struggle when starting meditation is silencing my mind. I had no idea how busy my brain was, and when you meditate you suddenly become super aware of what’s going on. In this video, I’ll talk you through some easy steps to help you prepare to start meditating.

Check out part three and let me know what you think! Have you tried to meditate before? How did you find it?

If you have any questions get in touch on Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag #HowIChill.

And in case you missed it, don’t forget to check out parts one and two as well

Thanks guys!
