If you hadn’t guessed from the numerous other posts about different barbers in London, I love getting my hair cut. There isn’t much else that gives you the confidence boost like a fresh cut. So next up on my tour of top men’s barbers is AONO, a new barber’s based in the recently re-opened menswear department of Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge.

AONO Barbershop: Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned

AONO is a Brighton-born barbers from Paul Hewitt. With it’s roots based in the barber and tattoo industries, AONO also has its own clothing label of high-quality streetwear.

I got to have my hair cut by Paul himself and went for the full works; wash, cut, wet shave and beard trim.

A master at work

Paul is at the top his game, he has an awesome understanding of different cuts, different types of hair and the individuality of each person. Then on-form banter also makes it a winning experience. I loved the cut so much that I’ve only had my hair cut here since.

The barbers is located on the Lower Ground Floor of Harvey Nichols, in the new Project 109 Concept Space and offers a full-service treatment menu, which is available form 10am till late. Appointments are available via bookings as well as walk-ins. The rest of the team, including Dom and Gabe, are also great and have my hair cut by them as well. Services include:

Cut £45
Express tidy-up £35
Single grade all-over £25
Wet shave £45
Full beard with hot towel £35
Beard trim £25
Cut + Wet Shave £75
Cut + Full Beard with hot towel £70

You can book an appointment here
