The world loves a good collaboration. From musicians who can’t seem to make a song just by themselves, to fashion+celebrity ties ups, it’s fast becoming the new frontier of modern-day brand positioning - who are you good enough to work with?

Well, while I am currently on my ‘body-is-a-temple’ kick, I’m rather excited about the latest one to enter the fold; SodaStream and Dermalogica. This lifestyle duo are joining forces to help hydrate the nation - from the inside, out.

Carbonate.Excite.Hydrate.

Many of us drink less than the recommended daily amount of water and, as a result, our skin, and bodies in general can become dehydrated, leading to all sorts of nuisance issues. To remedy this nationwide issue, SodaStream and Dermalogica are launching SparklingSkin, a limited edition kit to help the UK get its hydration game on.

As a nation, we spend millions annually on skincare products in the hope of moisturising our skin for a youthful complexion, while not spending any time investing in what we are putting into our bodies on a daily basis. By not drinking enough liquids, the effects of skincare can be compromised, reducing its effectiveness.

Fiona Hope, Managing Director at Sodastream said: “We are extremely excited to be partnering with Dermalogica as both of our brands have the passion and fortitude to educate the nation about the importance of hydration. SparklingSkin not only creates optimum health on the inside, but Dermalogica’s four-step facial beauty regime helps to drastically improve appearance on the outside. Simply by turning tap water into sparkling water, SodaStream drinkers are more likely to drink an extra litre of water a day than the average Brit*, helping them to achieve the ultimate glow.

For the best results, the campaign recommends drinking at least 2 litres of water a day and to follow a four-step skincare regime.

The SparklingSkin package includes:

SodaStream Source, the flagship sparkling water maker which produces 60 litres of sparkling water per canister. Offering refreshingly crisp sparkling water in seconds, the multi-award winning Source machine was designed by Yves Behar.

Dermalogica’s amenity kit:

MultiActive Toner (4ml)
Skin Hydrating Booster (3ml)
Intensive Eye Repair (4ml)
Skin Hydrating Masque (foil sample)

Sally Penford Education Manager UK and Ireland at Dermalogica said: “Whether you have dryness, breakouts or are concerned about ageing; hydration is critical for luminosity and glow. Drinking more water is the start but to ensure that water is retained, it’s essential to use skin care products that bind essential fluids through incredible sponge like ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. This Dermalogica four-step routine offers bright, smooth skin with fewer fine lines and dehydration.

The Limited edition SparklingSkin Kit will be available to purchase exclusively from www.sodastream.co.uk, retailing at £89.99, available to purchase from late June 2015.
