For Levi Strauss & Co., love is in their jeans.

So much so they have teamed up with the Harvey Milk Foundation for a special 2016 Pride Collection.

If was over 20 years ago that Levi’s granted domestic partnership benefits, but their commitment to equality doesn’t finish with their employees.

Both Levi’s and Harvey Milk Foundation are San Francisco born and bred so it makes for a beautiful partnership, having both been mainstays at SF Pride for years.

For those who don’t know, Harvey Milk is an icon for the LGB  community in the 70s (T and Q weren’t in the acronym back then). He was the first out politician to be elected to office and was one of the pioneers of gay rights. Unfortunately his work and his life were cut horrifically short when he was assassinated by a disgruntled ex colleague. But Harvey Milk’s ideas and beliefs lived on and he became the hometown hero who inspired a generation.

The collection has all of the hallmarks of great Levi’s denim with added flourishes of rainbow. The collection includes, jackets, tees and bandanas, all emblazoned with logos, colours and unashamedly bold design.

It’s definitely a collection to wear with pride.

The Limited Edition Pride Collection is available now at Levi’s.com
