Jimmy Choo has opened a stunning new store on London‘s coveted Dover Street and everything inside is just for us boys. (OK, and the ladies shopping for us boys).

The opening event saw London’s finest bloggers and beauties perusing the new 1,200 square foot, two-floor store and all of the sartorial goodness on offer. The store is a luxury replacement to Jimmy Choo’s existing store in Mayfair’s Burlington Arcade, allowing Choo to showcase its ever-burgeoning collection for men, including shoes, bags, belts, scarves and small leather goods.

The store space tells the Jimmy Choo story to perfection, providing an homage to the sensibilities of the Jimmy Choo man. The space oozes refinement the just the right cheeky dose of over the top bachelor (see zebra skin rug and marble panelling) , the perfect blend of masculinity and high-end luxury . You feel like you could hang out there comfortably as well as shop. (The amazing built-in bar with cocktails provided by Sipsmith Independent Spirits on the night certainly aided with the hanging out part).

“We are thrilled to be opening a new men’s standalone store in Mayfair, the spiritual home of the Jimmy Choo man. Dover Street is fast becoming a shopping destination for luxury fashion and cutting edge designers. The store is an exciting next step in the growth of Jimmy Choo Men” said Pierre Denis, CEO, Jimmy Choo.

DJ Richie Culver provided the evening’s entertainment, taking to the decks in Jimmy Choo’s stunning suede Byron monk shoes.

Jimmy Choo’s current collection is truly a sight to behold, the glitz and the glamour that is iconicly Choo still remains, made famous by its namesake founder as well as Tamara Mellon, but now it is taking on a new attitude. Creative Director Sandra Choi (who attended the opening event looking beautiful in a  zebra-print dress and leather jacket that perfectly complimented her baby-laden body) has been quoted as saying “It’s time to give this place a shake, Jimmy Choo is that sexy, strappy, stiletto thing - but it can be something else, too.” And it is. The collection boast an edginess to it that is energising and exciting. From the lady camo print on ponyskin, to the hardware detailing and exotic high-tops, Jimmy Choo has given itself a urban-luxe spin, offering more to the Jimmy Choo man than ever before.

It was a great evening and I cant thank Jimmy Choo enough for having me along. I’ll leave you with this final image of me and The gorgeous Nick Bains (Bainser.com) and Jonathan D Pryce (Garconjon.com) in the middle of our selfie.
